Traveling Bear Indoor Mini Golf offers a space for families to host birthday parties complete with a concession stand, which is a highlight of the establishment.
The Traveling Bear says the goal is "to provide family fun entertainment that showcases the unique places that make this area home." This will be Bristol's only indoor miniature golf facility.

James Jarvis, the owner, wanted his 18-hole locally themed indoor course to rival anything a visitor might experience in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. He chose the iconic, ubiquitous black bear of our area as a logo to represent his concept of “traveling” locally to understand the array of experiences the region offers. His project took seven months to become reality; the opening was July 28, 2023.
The free, family-friendly event included firefighters and officers from the Bristol, Virginia Fire, Police and Sheriff’s Departments, and the American Red Cross. Mini-golfers and first responders enjoyed an evening of fun, sunset slushies and emergency vehicles.
